“杰出人才”移民英国申请流程

This page explains how you can apply from abroad for a visa to enter the UK under Tier 1 (Exceptional talent) of the points-based system.

You cannot apply under Tier 1 (Exceptional talent) if you are already in the UK.

You must obtain a Tier 1 (Exceptional talent) visa before you travel to the UK.

You must make your application no more than 10 working days after the date when your unique reference number was issued. Any public or national holidays in your country of residence do not count towards the 10-day validity period. If you submit your application after this time, we will refuse it.

When you apply, you must submit documents to support your application. You can find details of these documents in the Documents required section.

Depending on the country where you live, you may need to make your application online or using application form VAF9. To find out which method you should use, see 'More information' below.

If you apply in person by appointment at a visa application centre, and your unique reference number will expire before the date of your appointment, you should request a fresh unique reference number before the date of your appointment.

If you apply online, you must submit your online application before your unique reference number expires. You must then attend a visa application centre - you should do this as soon as possible, but the date when you attend the centre can fall outside the unique reference number's 10-day validity period.

As part of your application, you will need to enrol your fingerprints and facial image (known as 'biometric information') at a visa application centre.
